From Theater to Weddings
Jessica’s career began in the theater world, where she majored in theater and organized non-profit events, including Shakespearean gatherings. Her journey then took her to the startup scene, where she facilitated public events and networking meetups. Just before the pandemic, she opened an event space for startups, but the onset of COVID-19 led to its closure.

Despite the challenges, Jessica’s love for weddings remained constant. What started as a side project blossomed into a full-fledged passion. A pivotal moment came when a friend, not particularly close at the time, asked Jessica to plan her wedding. The experience was transformative; Jessica found herself deeply moved by the event and realized she had found her true calling. Today, she’s not only close with that friend but also godmother to their children—a beautiful testament to the impact of her work.

Zhuzh Rentals and a One-Stop-Shop Approach
During the pandemic, Jessica shifted her focus to wedding planning and eventually expanded into linen rentals through Zhuzh Rentals. Partnering with her husband and brother-in-law, Jessica now manages both the creative and operational sides of the business. Zhuzh Rentals offers a range of linens, from basic poly solids to luxury overlays, with the unique advantage of a showroom for clients to see and feel the fabrics before committing.

In addition to linens, Jessica and her team run a travel agency called Team LaBo. This venture allows them to offer comprehensive planning services for honeymoons and other getaways, from all-inclusive resorts to Alaskan cruises. By integrating these services, Jessica can provide a seamless experience for couples, whether they’re looking for wedding planning, linens, or travel arrangements.
