Instant Invitations vs. Luxury Invitations – Navigating Wedding Stationery

To Hire a Designer or Print Pre-Made Wedding Invitations

In the modern world couples are presented with a large amount of options when it comes to their wedding and stationery is no different. DIY Invitations may sound like a fun at-home project until you realize all the details that go into planning the perfect wedding invitation.

There are pros and cons to both so make sure you know what you want before purchasing anything online. Hiring a designer helps with making the tough decisions, as I can share my experience with big-box printing companies that offer “easy wedding invitation design” without clear directions.

Whatever you decide, be sure to incorporate your wedding’s theme colors and typography by choosing those ahead of time. Read on to learn the ins and outs and online invitation ordering.

Pre-Made Invitations

1. Gain Instant Satisfaction of Crossing a To-Do Off Your List

Instant or premade invitations are ready to order and you can plug your information in and move to printing relatively quickly. This can be good if you value the convenience and fast turnaround and minimal communication with the designer, me, don’t worry I don’t take it personally.

2. Budget-friendly Invitations Come Standard

These invitations are often much cheaper than an original designed stationery. The work involved with designing it has already been completed and therefore removes some of the cost and can be a better option for those who want to cut costs. You still get the professional designer quality in the art and printing just not the price point of custom.

3. Templated Designs Come a Dime a Dozen

The obvious downside is that it is not unique to you and could be utilized by others as well or if your theme is unique then it may be hard to find pre-made options that fit your vision. You may want to take this into consideration as you think of your themes and colors and what options may be available out there.

Ultimately you will need to decide how these factors matter to you and if a premade option is best for you. It can be important to consider and compare all your options, so let’s look at full-custom options.

Custom Designed Invitations

1. Create The Perfect Invitation Uniquely Designed For Your Love

The best part about custom invitations is that you can fine tune it to match your theme and colors exactly. After you decide to work with me, we set up a 1 on 1 virtual call to discuss all aspects of your wedding to ensure you have perfect stationery that is unique and representative of you.

2. Take Advantage of Luxury Design Components

Something that is commonly only available to custom invitations is that of different types of paper and cardstock or maybe extras such as foil stamping or letterpress printing. These extras can add another level to your designs and make them that much more luxurious.

3. Worth The Investment for a Unique Wedding Like Yours

The obvious downside for full custom invitations is that they are more expensive since it requires creation of new assets and 1 on 1 collaboration with your designer. It is important to consider your budget and what pieces are the most important to you. Custom stationery can set your wedding apart and elevate to an elegant level matched by none.

Custom invitations can be the piece that takes your wedding to the upper levels of luxury and ensure that uniqueness is at the forefront. Consider your values and priorities for stationery and what works best for you.
