Stationery for Emily + Luke Shields at Westwind Hills
Designing the wedding stationery and signage for Emily and Luke Shields’ romantic black and white wedding at Westwind Hills was a dream. Their modern, elegant aesthetic allowed me to create a cohesive visual experience that tied together every moment of their day — from the first impression of their invitations to the final dance.
A Timeless Wedding Theme: Black & White Elegance
From the start, Emily and Luke envisioned a classic black and white wedding with timeless, refined details. This minimalist color palette offered the perfect foundation for clean lines, striking contrasts, and sophisticated typography. We began with a custom wedding invitation suite that set the tone for their celebration.

Working closely with Emily, we carried her vision throughout each paper and signage element. The pieces I designed for their wedding included:
- A custom invitation suite with matching RSVP and details cards
- Elegant menu cards for each guest’s place setting
- Sophisticated ceremony programs
- A three-tiered seating chart sign that doubled as a welcome and directional piece
- Coordinated signage including bar menus, cards & gifts sign, guestbook sign, and photo booth sign
- A custom monogram that was featured across print and signage designs
One of my favorite elements was the tiered seating chart display. It created a stunning focal point that welcomed guests while seamlessly guiding them to their tables. This design struck the perfect balance between functional and beautiful — and it’s one of my top recommendations for couples looking to make a statement with their signage.

Thoughtfully Designed Details, Seamlessly Executed
Working alongside the talented Kaitlin of K Hart Events made this process seamless. Every detail came together flawlessly thanks to an incredible vendor team who understood Emily and Luke’s elegant, modern vision.
Their wedding day was hosted at Westwind Hills, one of Missouri’s most beautiful wedding venues, known for its architectural charm and natural surroundings. The elegant black and white details stood out beautifully against the venue’s warm wood tones and expansive light-filled spaces.
