Be Thankful - and creative with your Thanksgiving Get Togethers

Beautiful stationary can set the tone for all of your memorable gatherings.  Thanksgiving may not be a holiday you immediately think of for stationary but in fact can be a great place to liven up a wonderful time with friends and family.  You will have them saying wonderful things about it!

1. Invitations

You may not think you need official invitations for your thanksgiving dinner, but can be especially relevant for the ever popular Friendsgiving. You can easily set the tone for your Thanksgiving before they enter your home. Rich fall colors and gilded letters could set an elegant tone or find a unique way to infuse your personality into it. The invitation should set the tone for the rest of your stationary if you choose to do more and carry that theme forward.

Here are a few examples of Friendsgiving Invitations that
Made Me Gobble, I mean Cackle:

Don’t feel pressured to create customized Friendsgiving invitations but if you’re feeling crafty and have specific requests – go off queen! Make sure to follow my social media @chelseyhuffdesignllc on Instagram for more #Friendsgiving inspiration!

2. Place Cards

Custom designed place cards that create a personalized touch for your guests helps them feel considered and special. You can create a unique theme to match your other stationary or create a unique place card for each person to make them feel really special. You can also create a place card in combination with a favor, maybe a name tag attached to a goodie bag.

Maybe this can seem like a bit extra – but who doesn’t feel extra welcomed and warm fuzees inside when you walk up to a table and there’s an actual card with your name on it?!

Make your guests feel like part of the family with any of these cute ideas, from The Pioneer Woman Blog, like mini pumpkins or festive wreaths!

3. Menus

A great way to elevate your thanksgiving dinner is with a menu.  It can match your dinner theme established with other stationery or evoke similar fall colors and themes like an elegant calligraphy. Don’t forget to highlight the unique aspects of your dinner and any side items that you hold dear to your heart. R.I.P. Aunt Sue, but thanks for the bomb yam recipe!

Here are a few creative ways to show off your menu:

  • Letter boards – cute and simplistic list keeps it cool for the one day of the year you dress up  to walk around the kitchen. Try this wooden letter board I found at Target
  • Chalkboards – What? You don’t just have them laying around the house like an elementary school teacher from the 90s? Me neither, but I did find this awesome board for sale on Amazon.com and get this – it’s magnetic too!

4. Thank You Cards

Nothing expresses thanks like personalized thank you cards that everyone can fill out and share amongst each other. These can be shared at the dinner or later and can add a really heartfelt touch to your dinner and encourage a positive place for everyone.

Identify what makes your Thanksgiving dinner special and unique and use that to inspire your thank you cards. Since Thanksgiving is rooted in time together it is great to mention what you enjoy about your guests’ company and relish in memories of times past.

Give Thanks in Your Own Creative Ways

Thanksgiving is a wonderful time to gather and share in fun and relaxed times with friends and family. It may not seem natural to consider custom stationary for your Thanksgiving dinner but if you are looking to elevate your dinner or add a special flair to a Friendsgiving then custom stationary can be a great way to set that new tone.

This new endeavor can be a great way to show your own thanks and consideration for your guests but really creating a unique and personalized environment. However you decide to spend your Thanksgiving, let’s hope it’s fun and a time full of thanks and reflection.
