‘Tis The Season To Start Thinking About Holiday Card Designs!

The holiday season is swiftly approaching. It is a great time for joy, love and celebration. It also can be a great time to get unique and find ways to express yourself and what makes you special! Your holiday card can be a fun little way to accomplish just that. Holiday cards are a great way for you to share something with friends and family or maybe for your business to send a heartfelt thank you. There are a couple themes that could be a great start for your card!

1. Vintage Vibes

Nostalgia is a powerful feeling and this season we are embracing the charm of our yesteryears with some modern flair. Retro ornaments, mid-century typography and sepia tones are a great foundation for your old-school holiday card.

Consider what standouts to you from your childhood and what nostalgic design pieces could influence your holiday card. Think about a special present you received or a happy family tradition.

2. Less is More

When it comes to design simplicity reigns supreme. Minimalistic and clean designs and more understated colors are in the spotlight. The goal of this theme is to keep it focused and really drive home the love and sincerity of your holiday card.

Find one primary design element you love and center all other decisions around this and how to emphasize it.

3. Nature is beautiful

Earthy tones and botanical themes are a great way to be unique when everyone has thoughts of cold and snow. It’s easy to forget the warm tones and colors like deep browns and olive greens during this time.

Think of those warm earthy colors that make you feel cozy. What would it be like to be sitting around a bonfire in the woods and what does that evoke? Think of these moments in nature and what it means to you.

4. Better Late than Never

Maybe the holidays snuck up on you like it does for many and it’s too late to get holiday cards out in time. The New Year’s Card is the perfect solution and can be a great way to still send warm wishes and let your loved ones know that you are thinking of them. New Years brings a fresh start and can allow you to express support and sentiment for the upcoming year. You can even make a joke about your late card or bid farewell to the previous year.
